Dead Cherry are an electrifying four-piece rock band hailing from Wellington, known for their explosive energy and magnetic stage presence. Fronted by the powerhouse Jodie Gummer, the band cut their teeth performing covers across Aotearoa, fine-tuning their dynamic live sound at every kind of gig imaginable. At the heart of Dead Cherry’s sound is the synergy of four distinct musical personalities. English-born Jodie brings decades of songwriting and vocal experience, seamlessly fusing raw emotion with catchy hooks and layered harmonies. Her rich, expressive voice can soar through tender melodies or unleash powerhouse notes — a vocal force matched only by her commanding and charismatic presence on stage. On lead guitar, Beau brings a Southern blues-rock edge, cultivated from his roots in the American South. His blistering solos and refined riffs add a fiery dimension to the band’s sound.

Completing the rhythm section are Kiwi stalwarts Andy (drums) and David “Chops” (bass) — a rock-solid duo with over a decade of shared stage time.
